OKTA Construction Egerton Crescent

Construction Update – Egerton Crescent

As we move onto the final stage of the renovation of Egerton Crescent – a Georgian-era townhouse in London’s South Kensington – we wanted to share the latest construction updates.

The brief was to transform an historic 5-storey house into a contemporary family home – combining cutting-edge design inspired by high-end international living with a classic Georgian backdrop and 21st century London aesthetic.

A period property with a rich architectural history, great care has been taken to use construction techniques and materials that compliment the beautiful original building.

We are excited that all marble installations are now complete, to stunning effect. Heritage hardwood windows and doors have been put in place, and heritage lime plastering has been completed.

Following the completion of the joinery work – all being done in solid European oak – the next phase is the beginning of the interior decoration.

We are excited for this next phase to start; it will all be done by specialist artisinal decorators, following a design brief by Axel Vervoordt.

For more detailed updates on the property you can find our interiors update here and a general construction update here.

We look forward to updating you at the final stage of the project, soon before work begins on our next residential project in North London.
